PRESS RELEASE - TECO BENSON PREPARES EXPLOSION

12-Mar-06

Multiple award winner Teco Benson (Formidable Force, State Of Emergency, Broad day Light) just finished work on what he likes to refer to as his masterpiece: EXPLOSION (Now Or Never) an explosive action thriller that exposes the nefarious activities of 419 peddlers in Nigeria. The movie would be released under Teco Bensons new distribution company, TFP Global Distribution. Teco Benson says he has had the script for Explosive under wraps for a very longtime but had decided not to release it until he was able to get his distribution company together. The movie stars Kenneth Okonkwo, Chiege Alisigwe, Obi Okoli, Emeka Okoro, Charles Waren, Emeka Ani, Hakeem Rahman among several others. Explosion (Now Or Never) would revolve around Steve (Kenneth Okonkwo) a member of the Black Angels (A gang synonymous to 419) who gets involved in a mix up that enrages the American Embassy and leaves his trusted wife Angela (Chiege Alisigwe) stunned as shocking events begin to unfold. While the film was shot in a span of 4 weeks on location in Lagos and its environs, the project was done with some support from the American Embassy, going to show how much work Mr. Benson put to prepare the flick. It was shot with a Sony HD Camera and was directed by Teco Benson who says he hopes this film is able to put an end to the ugly trend of the 419 scam that has for many years battered the image of Nigeria and left a sour taste on the nation and honest Nigerians living/ traveling abroad for genuine business. While the movie should hit stores later APRIL / MAY 2006, a webpage would be available on nigerianfilms.net very soon, including teasers and updates.

Movie Review: Images In The Mirror

Images In The Mirror

P Collins/ Divine Touch
Uche Ama Abriel, Bimbo Akintola, Chinemerem Nwokedi, Desmond Elliot, Bunmi Nelson.
Produced by Kingsley Okereke, Emeka Igwemba, Ikechukwu Onyeka
Directed by Fred Amata
Screenplay byDave Chukwuji

Images The Mirror almost reminds us of the many 'promiscuous girl' flicks, or maybe just the 'girly flicks' as it centers its focus around four girls who were in school together and how each of them reach a point in their lives the narrator likes to call their 'defining moment, a point where you have to go back and ask yourself where everything went wrong. That is what the narrator does here by taking us back and forth from her campus days to the present basically letting us know how she met this group of girls that have become like her sisters. Nothing really ever goes wrong so it's a gratuitous journey. Images In The Mirror unfortunately is a rather plain and simple expedition into nothing really. The movie offers nothing but a story that feels like a sing along. While the delivery is good, the story fails to inspire. Even though it's a quick one part movie, it's tiring because it really offers nothing completely engaging. Maybe one of the girls should have died, maybe they should have had a very big fight, maybe one of them should have robbed a bank or just said 'poop!' to at least put some excitement into this one.

divine plot to block tv miracles exposed!

13-Jan-06

Anointed Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy has exposed a plot by the Almighty God and his angels to put a stop to the broadcasting of miracles on Nigerian television. During the shocking exposé, he narrated how all efforts to get his miracles verified have been mysteriously frustrated.

When the NBC announced a ban on the broadcasting of unverified miracles on Nigerian TV stations, Pentecostal Christians were not bothered because they knew for sure that miracles performed by their pastors were genuine and would easily be verified by doctors and investigators in their various congregations.

Yet more than 2 years later, the men of God have not yet been able to present even one substantiated miracle. They have been forced to stop broadcasting their miracle services, healing meetings, and power-packed crusades because, as Pastor Chris revealed, the Lord Almighty has been hindering them.

He went on to give us various examples of cases in which God’s interference prevented his team of investigators from being able to prove the genuineness of some previously televised miracles:

  • The case of a man who was raised from the dead during a crusade. After collecting a generous amount of money to rebuild his newly-regained life, he and his friends never came back to the church. God must have made them ungrateful for their miracle or forgetful so they didn’t remember the address of the church.
  • The case of the blind whose eyes were opened, the lame who walked, or deaf and dumb whose tongues were loosed and ears opened during atmosphere for miracles. Their family members were unable to remember that they had suffered for years under the curse of blindness, lameness, or deafness and dumbness for years before their miraculous release by the Holy Spirit.
  • The case of a woman who was miraculously healed of HIV/AIDS in healing school. When investigators visited her house to retrieve the HIV test she took prior to her healing, they couldn’t find it. Because God had hidden it in a safe place. When they visited her doctor, God erased his memory so he couldn’t remember ever having tested the woman for HIV!

Pastor Chris says he knows for sure that Satan is not to blame for these cases, because “Satan cannot operate in the presence of men of faith who are walking in the anointing … hallelujah!” All the miracle investigators are spirit-filled born again lieutenants in God’s army and therefore nothing but an act of God could prevent them from accomplishing their mission.

However, it is difficult to understand why God is working so hard to discredit his own miracles. Perhaps God is afraid that almost all of those who witness the verified miracles on TV will get converted and heaven will be over-crowded? No one knows for sure.
